In early November of 2004, I was faced with a drug called
OxyContin.
Also known as hillbilly heroin, oxy, and oxy cotton. I wasn't 100%
sure what this drug's side effects were, all I knew was that it
was prescribed to a patient for back pain. My very first time using
oxy I received a 40mg pill for $20. I put it in my mouth to get
the timed release off so that I could split the pill in half to
do 20mg up my nose. After snorting the 20, I remember just sitting
there scared because I didn't know how it would affect my own body.
Ten minutes later my stomach ached and I felt like
I was going to throw up, but the feeling that the oxy gave me was
a relief. I've never felt so great in my life. It was the high like
I have never had before, over any drug I've ever tried which included
pot, speed, vicodin, coke, and hydrocodone. At that time I was watching
a movie in my room. The TV was mounted on the wall and my eyes were
completly fixated on it. Everything around the TV was blank - just
nothing. My bones felt loose and relaxed and right then I knew that
everything was going to be OK. About 3 or 4 hours later my high
was fading and I was exhausted. Story Continued
